Lights are up and Christmas Parade is Coming Soon

Explore Harrison's Matt Bell talked Monday about Christmas lights and the upcoming parade.

Bell spoke on KHOZ's "Around The Table" about Christmas and more. He said close to "90%" of Harrison's lights are up, but he added that a few repairs are needed. He said some buildings still need lights. Bell credited Camp Jack for helping decorate. Later, Bell discussed additions to the decorations. When all Christmas parade participants line up near Camp Jack, a "big Christmas tree" might be included. This addition hasn't happened yet. The parade is nearing.

Bell said the Christmas parade is the last Monday in November which follows Thanksgiving. The Nov. 28 parade starts at 7 p.m.

However, he said anyone wanting to enter a float into the parade and decorate it needs to be ready by 5 p.m. He said the goal is to have the longest number of floats this year. Bell highlighted what he said is "incredible" about the Christmas parade.

He said that "everyone wants to give; they want to be involved." He also encouraged everyone to bring their "ugly Christmas sweater."

The full interview with Bell is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
