Harrison, AR-Local Artist land on the Grammy Ballot

Three local artists are on the ballot for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. 

According to a press release the artists include Brylie Parker, AxD (Austin Daniels), and Shine Eye Yell. 

The full release is below: 

"Brylie Parker of Harrison is on the 65th Grammy ballot twice with her single. “I Will Still” up for Best Contemporary Christian Performance. Her EP, “Freedom” is also on the ballot for Best Contemporary Christian Album.

AxD (Austin Daniels) of Harrison is on the 65th Grammy ballot in the Rap category with his single, “Powerful”.

Shine Eye Yell of Tomahawk, AR is a new band formed in 2022 with members Caleb Stanislaw and Scott Hoffmann. Shine Eye Yell has two songs in consideration for Grammy nomination in the American Roots category. “The Ballad of Lizzy Brisco”, in American Roots performance and “The Deserter”, in Best American Roots Song. These two entries are part of a forthcoming album; “Buffalo River Songs Volume One”, due to be released in early 2023.

Scott Hoffmann formerly of Mountain Home and MHHS grad, produced, engineered and mixed all projects at his studio in Harrison. Hoffmann is in his 19th year as a Grammy Voter. The Recording Academy has 12,000 total voters. Hoffmann is also a Grammy Mentor this year, helping a college student seeking a career in music. Hoffmann’s Mentee is a singer/ songwriter and Music Business major at Middle Tennessee State University.
