Penny DeJournett talked about Friends of the Library on Tuesday; the holiday sale is coming up.
DeJournett appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" Tuesday to discuss the event. She said it's a "small sale" of books on Saturday at 9 a.m. It runs until 2 p.m. This is a one-day sale that includes what DeJournett called the "best" books found. The sale also includes children's books, Christmas books, Christmas mysteries and general fiction. While budgets might be tight this year, DeJournett said this is an opportunity to obtain new, affordable books.
She said newly released adult books or books released last year are available for purchase for $2 to $6. This is in contrast to higher prices at prominent bookstores.
