Spree Hilliard Talks Camp Jack Event and Rotary on KHOZ

Around The Table co-host Spree Hilliard spoke on the KHOZ show on Tuesday about Harrison’s Camp Jack event and Rotary Club.

Hilliard was present at the Camp Jack award event on Monday. “All seven agencies were accounted for. There were eight honorees.” Hilliard said it was fun to be in a roomful of people who she thinks don’t always get thanked. “We were at almost capacity,” she said. She added that capacity is 300.

Talking about Camp Jack, Hilliard discussed some of the renovations. “There’s still a lot to be done for sure.” Hilliard said they are making the best use they can until they know what the grant looks like. Hilliard is also the Rotary Club President.

She said this year’s project is to build a splash pad near Wonder Willa Park. She said they are looking to raise $150,000. Spree said the park is pirate-themed because putting a splash pad in was considered early on. Spree said the splash pad will be inclusive to people of all abilities.

The full interview with Hilliard is on Around The Table’s Facebook Page.
