Jerry Jackson Talks Creekside Community Center

The Creekside Community Center is on schedule, according to Harrison Mayor Jerry Jackson.

On Monday, Jackson appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss the project. While it's making excellent progress, the mayor pointed out one downside. It's not ready to open.

However, the pool and the remodeled area could open if that decision was made. With that said, Jackson said he expects the opening to occur in a couple of weeks. One holdup involves the sprinklers.

The sprinklers must operate in the new area and in the pool. The center has more than a pool.

The new center has a gaming room and a computer room. It will even have a golf simulator.

The center is making all of this available for free to anyone, a family or child, on a free lunch program. That includes everything but aquatics. More was discussed on the broadcast.

The full interview with Jackson is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
