Newly Registered Sex Offender in Boone County

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office notified the public on Friday, September 9th, of a newly registered sex offender.

Wayne Ellis Randolph is listed as a Level 3 Sex Offender for first degree child molestation and is lives in Alpena.

He is listed as a white male with brown hair, blue eyes, five foot nine inches tall, 185 pounds, and unemployed.

The Boone County Sheriff’s website defines a level three sex offender as individuals who, “usually have histories of repeat sexual offending and/or strong antisocial, violent, or predatory personality characteristics. Sexual compulsions are likely to be present but may be kept under control when relapse prevention plans are followed, and treatment is continued. The offense patterns of these individuals reflect a relatively high probability of re-offense and/or a risk of substantial injury to individuals should re-offense occur.”
