House of Hope Keeps Many off the Street

House of Hope just ended their first grant year with special funding; they kept 68 families in their homes so they were not evicted.

Director of Harrison’s House of Hope Wiliam Tollett appeared on KHOZ’s Around The Table on Wednesday to talk about the organization. Tollett said those payments ranged from $400 a month up to one that was 12 months past due for $8,000. In addition, they have placed 59 homeless individuals off the streets into permanent housing in the past 12 months.

They are looking for volunteers to stay at the warming center to have it open during nights with freezing temperatures. They can be reached at 870-704-8077. House of Hope focuses on homelessness and joblessness. Hope Cottages is an extension of that organization that focuses on the needs of women and children. The full interview is on Around The Table’s Facebook Page.
