Harrison Woman Arrested in Marion County

A woman has been arrested in Marion County after she allegedly tried to run over her ex-boyfriend and threatening to set his house on fire with him in it.

Three felony charges have been filed against 40-year-old Angela Marie Vrentas of Harrison.

According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, Marion County deputies were called the victim’s house at 4:00 AM April 30 because Vrentas had broken a window of his house and was threatening to burn the house down with him inside. The victim also said Vrentas attempted to run over him with her vehicle, striking him with an open door. While trying to run over the victim, Vrentas struck a parked truck, boat and motorcycle, causing significant damage.

Deputies say the two had been in a domestic relationship until April of this year and share a child together.

Vrentas is charged with felony counts of aggravated assault on a family or household member, terroristic threatening and criminal mischief. She is free after posting $1,000 bond.
