Growing Places Counseling cares for a variety of people dealing with a variety of problems.
Laurel Gass, counselor and licensed clinical social worker from Growing Places Counseling, appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Monday to discuss the work. Gass said she works with two other therapists. Though they work with many different people, the group specializes in couples counseling.
Group counseling is also provided. Clients come for several reasons.
This includes pre-marital, marital, depression, anxiety and additional relationship issues. Gass later highlighted social media as a factor to increased problems.
She said there's a lack of connection. The counselor added that Harrison, Arkansas is home to clients who also come in for trauma-related therapy.
