Eddington Talks Softball, Baseball and More

Harrison Parks and Recreation Department Director Chuck Eddington talked Thursday about upcoming activities.

Eddington appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss these activities and more. He said league softball and baseball practice starts on the night of May 18. "I think we have 2,200 kids playing in our league," Eddington said. He added that the number is the highest one since his time in the department.

The director said the growth is great. He also said that the five-week season starts after practices this week and next week.

He explained that the season consists of about 10 games. Although baseball and softball will end, Eddington said that tournaments are still hosted during the weekends.

He said those tournaments are "a lot of work" but that they positively impact the community. Eddington talked about other topics later on.

The full interview with Eddington is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
