Creekside Community Center Moves Forward After Sales Tax Approvals

On Wednesday Harrison Mayor Jerry Jackson discussed the Creekside Community Center vote on KHOZ's "Around the Table" program.

“We’ve worked so hard. We’ve actually worked on this for like two and a half years,” Jackson said. He said on the actual day of voting the largest voting group was ages 35 to 44.

Jackson has experience as a realtor. “I would say prices on the Square went up on Wednesday, and prices on Pine Street probably went up, value.” On June 17, the community will be invited back in. “We can show them what we have in mind then, and there’s always room for change,” Jackson said. He said they are still open to listening to the community more.

“We listened, we learned and we tried our best to give the community exactly what they told us they wanted. So now they can tell us more, and we’ve got the opportunity to adjust and do some things,” Jackson said.

The full interview with Jackson is available on the Around The Table Facebook Page.
