County Officials Provide Update at Chamber Event

Last week, members of the Boone County Government updated attendees of the Harrison Chamber of Commerce’s “Eggs and Issues” event on news from the county.

A recap of the meeting in the Harrison Daily Times including Judge Robert Hathaway’s discussion included the efforts of the road department in maintaining the over 1000 miles of roads throughout the county and also efforts to build some low water bridges in the county.

Sheriff Roy Martin talked about the current situation in his department including the obtaining of four new vehicles as well as the ability to have a nearly fully staffed department thanks to the efforts of the Quorum Court to keep pay competitive to retain officers and staff.

County Circuit Clerk Judy Kay Harris emphasized the importance of reporting for juror duty when selected with a big number of cases coming up.

A complete recap of the meeting can be found on the Harrison Daily Times Website.
