Boone County Officers Arrest Two for Break-In

Two men have been arrested after breaking into a house where one of their ex-girlfriends was staying.

Details on the story from KTLO:

The victims told law enforcement the two woke them up about 5 in the morning and wanted to fight. Arrested following the incident were 25-year-old Lane Shockey of St. Joe and 21-year-old Tanner Still of Harrison. Shockey told police during an interview he knew a man in the house because “he’s seeing my ex-old lady.”

According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, Boone County deputies were dispatched to the home in St. Joe after a 911 call saying someone had come into the house. One of the victims told deputies both men were very intoxicated. He says Shockey woke him up and wanted to go outside and fight. The male victim stated he went to the door where the two were and called 911, causing them to hurry to their vehicle and leave.

A female in the house told law enforcement Shockey is her ex-boyfriend and father of her child, who was also at the residence.

Both Shockey and Still are facing a felony charge of residential burglary and misdemeanor charges of harassment, stalking, endangering the welfare of a minor and possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle. Still also picked up charges for DWI and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

Both men are free on bond.
