Boone County Man Charged with over 300 Crimes

A Boone County Man is facing many charges.

25-year-old Joseph Scott Armer of Harrison, has been charged with 305 felony counts of viewing or attempting to view sexually explicit conduct, commonly referred to as child pornography. Armer entered a not guilty plea in Boone County Circuit Court earlier this month.

According to the 10-page probable cause affidavit, Armer faces 300 counts involving distributing, possession, or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. The additional five counts are for reportedly unauthorized use of another person’s property to facilitate certain crimes.

The investigation leading to Armer’s arrest began in July, after a report was generated to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The investigation lead to law enforcement interviewing five individuals, including the owners of two businesses. In each case, Armer allegedly used the computers of other individuals to view child pornography.

Armer reportedly told investigators he typically viewed child sexual assault material throughout the entire day, even when he was at work.

Bond for the Boone County man is set at $60,000.
