Amy Griffith and Terry Register from the Boone County Library talked Thursday about library activities for May.
They appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to talk about all things new at the library. "We're gearing up for our summer reading program," Register said. She said anyone can sign up for the program at the end of May. Register also discussed a partnership.
She said that on May 26 Scooter's coffee is giving 10% of their sales will help fund the library's summer program. Friends of the Library is about host another sale.
Register explained that the Friends of the Library will have a children's book sale on May 19 and May 20. Blood donors have the opportunity to donate again.
She said the blood drive is on May 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Register added that donors can sign up at the Red Cross.
Griffith said the children's department had a Cinco de Mayo activity to enjoy. She talked about a project she is leading on May 9.
She said she will teach teenagers to sew. Teenagers will sew mini projects. More was discussed during the broadcast.
