Boone County Library Activities for December

Amy and Ginger from the Boone County Library talked Thursday about December activities.

During KHOZ's "Around The Table" Thursday broadcast, they discussed activities the library is having this month. Ginger said the library is hosting a 5:30 p.m. program Dec. 6 about estate planning for the elderly. There will be a Wednesday coloring activity at noon. Dec. 8 welcomes a "snow-tea light mason jar" activity. In addition, Red Cross will host a blood drive on Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Ginger discussed more activities, but she noted the library is closed Dec. 14 for a staff development day.

The library is also closed Dec. 23, 24 and 26. One more activity is adult and children cookie decorating day. Amy said elf on the shelf is another activity and said he comes to visit the library. She said to visit the library Facebook and Instagram. Aside from that, she highlighted an upcoming teen activity.

Teens are welcome to come on Dec. 6 for snowman ornaments; this is an opportunity to make an ornament. A special guest is coming on Dec. 8.

Amy encouraged parents to come ready to take pictures because Santa is visiting the library. The library is hosting pancakes and pajamas on Dec. 10; this is a free event.

Finally, a teen movie night showing "The Polar Express" will happen on Dec. 16 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Hot chocolate will be offered. A permission slip is required. This and more was discussed in the interview Amy and Ginger.
