Arvest Million Meals Provides over $71,000 to Local Food Partners

The Arvest Million Meals Program again helps area Food Partners.

The complete release below from Arvest Bank posted by KTLO:

Arvest Bank has been able to raise over $71,000 in its 13th annual Million Meals campaign, which benefits six local food partners in Baxter, Marion and Boone counties.

The Million Meals initiative raises money through special events and donations collected across the bank’s four-state footprint with the goal of providing at least one million meals to feed those in need. The funds help local nonprofit organizations stock their community food pantries, which is important during the summer months when children are no longer receiving free or reduced meals at school.

During its eight-week campaign, Arvest collected at total of $459,658 to benefit 84 local organizations in the four-state region – equaling to over $2.29 million meals – the second largest total and nearly more than 20% more than last year. Since its launch in 20201, the initiative has raised 22.9 million meals, including $4.1 million in funds given to local community food partners.

Scott Copeland, President and CEO of Arvest North Arkansas says “We are so grateful for the outpouring of support from customers, community members and associates. We are thankful for their role in fighting hunger throughout our communities and for helping us once again exceed our ‘million meals’ goal. Our region is making a substantial impact on hunger relief in the communities we serve.”
