Wilson Marseilles is the new Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce President and CEO

Wilson Marseilles is the new Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce president and CEO.

Marseilles appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss the news and more. He said he stepped into his new role on July 1. He credited Bob Largent, who was in the position before Marseilles, with preparing him for the role. "Bob's done a great job mentoring me for the last three and a half years, so he's been really intentional," Marseilles said.

He added that his time has been spent in community meetings and adjusting to his schedule. In addition, he has worked on "reestablishing connections" in places like Little Rock, Arkansas and more.

The new president and CEO said he has probably spent time "out of office more than in the office" in the last 11 days. The first six months of his time in the position will focus on solidifying his leadership, a "listening tour" and speaking with stakeholders.

"And I think that will better inform the second half of my first year," he said. Marseilles emphasized housing and workforce as major areas of focus. While that focus isn't new, he said how it's worked on "might change."

Largent will remain as a consultant through the year, and then he will retire and remain in the area. More was discussed on the broadcast.

The full interview with Marseilles is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
