The victim’s name from last week’s fatal shooting incident in Oakland has been released.
Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander says 27-year-old Haisley Mack of Oakland was shot at an address on Marion County Road 124 in the Oakland Community in the late evening of Oct. 29.
Mack was taken to Baxter Health in Mountain Home for treatment but died at the hospital. Her body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of her death.
Alexander says the investigation into the shooting continues, but no arrests have been made. He says investigators have conducted several interviews, consulted with the State Medical Examiner and submitted several pieces of evidence to the crime lab.
Once the investigation is completed, Alexander says the case investigation file will be submitted to the Fourteenth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney for review.
