Dan Dillard from the Boone County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition said Tuesday that the Town Hall meeting was canceled because they want to deliver the best program.
Dillard said during KHOZ's Tuesday broadcast of "Around The Table" that the community-wide event was canceled partially because of the date. It was following Memorial Day. Additionally, Dillard said key individuals were unavailable.
"We chose to postpone that since it simply would not have been the program that it should have been and we were planning for it to be," he said.
It's rescheduled to next February; the exact date is to be determined. Dillard also discussed youth programs.
