Suspects Arrested in Kidnapping Investigation

Boone County authorities have arrested four people following a report last weekend of a possible kidnapping.

Boone County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Roy Martin says officers executed a search warrant at 7556 Rally Hill Road looking for the reported victim in the case.

Officers found evidence related to the crime present in the home, along with a quantity of marijuana that was seized. However, the victim was not located at the scene at that time. He was later located and taken to North Arkansas Medical Center in Harrison for treatment of his injuries.

Allegations were made that the victim owed money for a debt and had been bound. Martin says the persons involved physically assaulted the victim and allegedly threatened him with firearms.

The four arrested following the investigation are:

* 25-year-old Ashley Hough and 28-year-old Johnny Dore — charged with kidnapping, possession with intent to deliver (marijuana), aggravated assault, second-degree battery, distribution near certain facilities, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, committing a felony with a firearm, coercion and obstruction of governmental operations; and
* co-defendants, 28-year-old Tyler Harp and 24-year-old Cheyenne Phifer — charged with aggravated assault, second-degree battery and obstruction of governmental operations.

Hough and Dore are being held without bond, while bonds for Harp and Phifer were set at $50,000 each.

The four are all from Harrison.
