Suspect attempted to bribe a Boone County Deputy to drop sexual assault charge

According to a probable cause affidavit the Boone County Sheriff’s Department investigated a sexual assault case that occurred on December 9, 2022, in which an unnamed 16-year-old female reported that 22-year-old Jason Glick had intercourse with her in the back seat of his truck.

The report states that the two had been talking on Snapchat for a short time before agreeing to meet. Glick had reportedly told her he was 19. The encounter started with them getting into Glick’s truck, listening to music, and driving down the road a little way away from her residence. Glick asked if she wanted to get in the back seat and she agreed saying that she thought nothing about it.

Glick asked if she wanted to have intercourse to which she initially said she did not know. After about 15 minutes she agreed to it but during intercourse changed her mind and told him to stop but Glick kept going.

An officer went to Lebanon, Missouri to meet with Glick at his place of employment during which time he admitted to the sexual encounter with the female and that she told him to stop during intercourse, but he continued anyway. Glick was then charged with 4th degree sexual assault.

About an hour after the interview Glick sent a text message to the officer’s phone asking what amount of money it would take to get the charge dropped. The officer asked Glick what exactly he was offering. He told the deputy that he would give him $1000.00 cash to drop the sexual assault charge. This added an additional charge of compounding. Both this and the assault charge are Class D Felonies.

An arrest warrant was issued on December 19th with a $25,000 bond.
