Summer Reading Program Numbers up at Boone County Library

Beth from Boone County Library said Tuesday that over at least 350 participants registered for the children's summer reading program and about 80 registered for the adult's reading program.

"Consistently, every week turning in logs, I've had 250," she said on KHOZ's "Around The Table" Tuesday. She said this is a lot compared to the last two years. Normally half of who register complete the program, but Beth said this summer will be slightly different. She said the numbers might be up because people aren't traveling as much. Participants can win awards.

Every time someone turns in their reading log, they get a prize and are entered to win other prizes. Last week's prize was admission to WonderWorks Branson and Sight & Sound Theatres. This week's big prizes include admission to Dickerson Park Zoo and Little Rock Zoo. All of these winners will be entered for the grand prize of a Kindle Fire at the end of the summer.

Later, Beth discussed other programs. The full interview with Beth is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
