Senate Committee Hearing About Crypto Mining Monday in Harrison

A senate committee will meet at North Arkansas College Monday.

According to the Harrison Daily Times, the purpose of the Arkansas Senate Committee on Children and Youth will be to discuss the potential effects of crypto mining near daycare centers and schools. 

Scheduled speakers during the meeting include Harrison City Attorney Nancy Cartwright, Director of Public Works Wade Phillips, and Cameron Baker who is a managing member of Cryptic Farms, a firm that aids incoming crypto miners through the process of starting facilities. 

The meeting is open to the public and will take place at the JPH Convention Center at 1:00 pm.
