While First District Congressman Rick Crawford visited Harrison last week to promote his historic fiction book “The Stinger Proxy”, he was also discussing official business.

Crawford, who just began representing Harrison and Boone County after federal redistricting, was hosting an open house in his Harrison Office on the fifth floor of the Signature Bank Tower.

According to a post on the City of Harrison Facebook page, during his time in Harrison, Crawford met with Mayor Jerry Jackson who along with several other area leaders, met with the congressman to discuss the ongoing Crooked Creek Restoration.

In the post, Jackson recapped the meeting, saying they talked with Crawford about the project to remove the weir and restore the creek.
Representatives of US Senators John Boozman and Tom Cotton were part of the meeting according to the post.
