One Area Boil Advisory Lifted, Another Put in Place

The Arkansas Department of Health has lifted one boil advisory for the region while putting another in place.

According to a release from the department, the boil order that was put in place last week for the Morning Star Water Association in Marshall was lifted Monday morning. The order had been issued due to a water line break.

Meanwhile, a boil order is now in effect for a water system in Newton County. The notice is for Parthenon Water Association for customers in the area along Lone Beach Road due to a main break in the water line.

The release says that all affected customers in that area are advised that the water may be unsafe for human consumption and water should be boiled for drinking and cooking for a minute prior to use.

The order will remain in effect until further notice.
