North Arkansas College's Career Pathways Job Fair on March 28

North Arkansas College is hosting the Career Pathways sponsored job fair on March 28.

Brittany Harris appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Thursday to discuss the job fair. It will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Pioneer Pavillion gym. She said about 60 employers are going to attend.

All of those employers are looking to hire. Harris commented on what companies hire the most.

She said "healthcare facilities really steal the show." About 16 of the employers in attendance are from the medical field.

Anyone not interested in medical work can explore other options. Harris explained that law enforcement, Harrison government, central dispatch, fire rescue and more will have representation at the job fair.

Career Pathways is a grant-funded program that offers assistance to parents who are Arkansas residents looking to attend school. They provide services like childcare payment assistance, interview prep and more.

The program requires a certain income level, but Harris said it's a pretty big one. She gave the example of a family of four.

Applicants could make $65,000 and still benefit from the Career Pathways program. More was discussed during the broadcast.

The full interview with Harris is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
