Nonprofits Join Hands to Host Eclipse Event

A group of nonprofits are hosting Echoes and Eclipse on April 8.

Rick Lucas, Rayne Davidson, Orson Weams and Isaac Lancalen or "Baz" appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss an April 8 eclipse viewing event; the event begins at 10 a.m.

Davidson owns Beckham Creek Cave Lodge. It will serve as an eclipse-viewing area on April 8. Everyone is invited to the 256-acre property.

The lodge is selling 100 tickets; profits will support three 501c3s including: the Buffalo River Foundation, Pop Queens and the Music Education initiative.

Not only is the Music Education Initiative a beneficiary of the event but a producer of it as well. Weams said the initiative serve in music and live events and aims to equip young entertainment professionals. They host workshops to train individuals in how to do the background work of performing.

The idea to start the media company came six years ago. Lucas said he found Baz and that they bonded over conversation. He said he came to Harrison in 2018 and wanted to start a company. Thus, Chaos Ranch Media was born.

Lucas has a history in the entertainment business. He told his friend Baz that there is a lot of opportunity, especially in areas like Branson. He explained that he and Baz have shared experiences.

Baz comes from South Central Los Angeles and has functioned as the fuel behind the event. He said music saved his life. He likes to connect people and help make things happen.

He began his career as a singer-songwriter in a group that focused on promoting a message alternative to songs that promote negativity. Much of his positive focus comes from an experience in 2006.

He turned from the bad to the good. He boldly stated that "the Most High is the best of planners." He desires to keep youth out of trouble. He has worked to do so by working with Drums for Youth.

Chaos Ranch Media wants to inspire youth to build something, according to Rick Lucas. It's one of the participating groups in addition to Lucas' other business Pop Queens.

Tickets for the event are available online. Tickets are tax deductible. More was discussed on the event.

The full interview with Lucas, Davidson, Weams and Lancalen is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
