New Technology at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center's (NARMC) Interim Director of Surgery Jeanie Brown talked Thursday about new life-saving technology.

Brown said during KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Thursday that the hospital obtained the 1688 Advanced Imaging Modality (AIM). "It's a 4L platform for laparoscopic surgery," Brown said. She called it "the latest and greatest." In her work-related travels throughout the country, Brown said she hasn't seen this capability in larger facilities and cities.

"So, it really speaks volumes to have this kind of ability in this area," she said. This technology will allow for greater accuracy and reduce the risk of injury. Brown has been a surgery nurse for 35 years and in leadership for about 27 years of the 35 years.

This technology gives greater clarity to images. This grants surgeons further accuracy when treating patients for laparoscopic needs.

The full interview with Brown is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
