Boone County Quorum Court District 5 Incumbent Race Fred Woehl said Friday that the church building purchased to house the quorum court is perfect for the current needs.
“We can move everybody there (to the new building). We can move the circuit courts, the chancellery court, the municipal court,” Woehl said. Every employee’s office can be moved as well. Woehl said all this on KHOZ’s “Around The Table” Friday.
Woehl has been on the court for six years. Key issues for the court include the new court building. Woehl said there was a lot of angst when it was announced they were buying a church building.
Woehl also noted that the former court building is not accessible for people with disabilities. “It’s small and it’s old,” he said.
He said over the years he has been involved in the farming community for a long time. During his service in the court, Woehl was active in getting a stoplight that he said cut back accidents.
