NARMC Welcomes Orthopedic Surgeon

Harrison, Arkansas has a new orthopedic surgeon starting to practice in the new medical plaza on Monday.

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) Director of Marketing and Community Relations Kim Rosson introduced orthopedic surgeon Jon Blake during KHOZ's "Around The Table" show on Wednesday. Blake expressed that he is "excited" to begin practicing at NARMC's new plaza.

Blake explained that he enjoyed college so much that he followed his then roommate to medical school after graduation. He credits some friends with helping him decide to specialize in orthopedic surgery.

The doctor said that orthopedic surgery assistants are often mechanically inclined. Prior to attending medical school, he was "always tearing apart cars and radios." He added that he's enjoying what he does.

Before coming to Harrison, much of his practice was based in Saint Louis and Kansas City, Missouri. Rosson commented on why the decision was made to bring Blake on the team.

She said that research revealed the need for an orthopedic surgeon. More was discussed during the broadcast.

The full interview with Blake is available on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
