Matt Bell of Explore Harrison talked Wednesday about 2023 and the entertainment district.
Bell spoke during KHOZ's "Around The Table" broadcast on Wednesday. He said last year's events were well attended and called 2022 a "fantastic year" for community events. Bell commented on the upcoming entertainment district.
The district, which Bell advocated for, doesn't have a set launch date. He said there were questions about the oversight committee connected to the district. Bell identified the committee as "more of a liaison committee between the entertainment district and the city." According to Bell, this group engages in generating concepts and will eventually implement "a screening process" for district events.
The committee will include individuals who supported and opposed the district. Bell said that as of now the occupancy leans "heavy" on the supporting side. Bell himself is on the committee. Currently, one person occupies the side of the committee that opposed this new section.
