Mark Fowler Talks Money Spending Concerns and More

Boone County Quorum Court Justice of the Peace candidate Mark Fowler talked Tuesday about money spending concerns, roads and more.

Fowler appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" broadcast Tuesday to discuss his race for office. He was born and raised in Boone County. "I've always had a strong urge for community service, and I got this from my dad," Fowler said. Fowler has public service experience by serving 14 and a half years on the city council before moving to serve the county. He highlighted certain issues.

"I think it's a very important election for a number of reasons," he said. Fowler mentioned money spending concerns. He emphasized his concerns about the new county building. While he's concerned about the purchase and upcoming rennovation, he acknowledged that the old building wasn't meeting needs. Later, the candidate discussed road projects.

"I don't see very many road projects in the future; of course, I'm not aware of that," he said. Fowler said thatt those projects our the county judge's responsability but that he is able to approach the judge with citizens' road concerns. He said he doesn't know how roads are financially managed but does not believe roads haven't been shown enough attention.

"And it doesn't seem to be a priority by anybody in county government anymore," the candidate said. Fowler said if more isn't payed they certainly need mantaince. Fowler discussed all of this and more.
