A Marion County man has been arrested after the Arkansas State Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 62 near Flippin.
According to the Arkansas State Police, a trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a black car near the Flippin Bypass in Marion County, but the driver, identified as 46-year-old Kevin Melton, never pulled over. Melton led the trooper on a pursuit through multiple residential areas in Yellville, reaching speeds of approximately 100 miles per hour.
Melton ultimately pulled into the driveway of a home and exited his vehicle where the trooper was successfully able to take him into custody.
Melton was booked into the Marion County Detention Center on multiple charges. He was released on $75,000 bond.
