Two Marion County residents are facing felony charges of aggravated robbery and assault after authorities had to deploy multiple tasers for non-compliance.

According to the probable cause affidavit, officers were called to a residence with a complaint of someone standing outside with a pistol. Upon arrival, they observed 51-year-old John Womack standing by the passenger door of a vehicle. As law enforcement began giving Womack commands to place his hands in the air and step away from the car, he started cursing and not complying with commands, and proceeded to pull a knife out of his pocket. Officers discharged three taser containers without having any effect on Womack.

After he finally complied, Womack admitted to consuming alcohol and was given a breathalyzer test reading .17.

In speaking with the victims, officers discovered Womack and 50-year-old Rebecca McCutcheon to be at the residence to retrieve property. They reported he pointed a firearm at their face and threatened to shoot them. One of the victims stated she just handed them a chainsaw. During further discussion with McCutcheon, she said she had possession of a firearm and discharged it trying to shoot fish in a nearby pond.

Womack is charged with aggravated robbery, possession of a firearm by certain persons, five counts of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. He was arrested and is currently being held in the Marion County Detention Center on $100,000 bond. If he makes bond, he will be required to obtain an ankle monitor at his expense and restricted to Baxter, Boone, Newton and Marion counties.

McCutcheon is charged with aggravated robbery and two counts of aggravated assault and is currently being held at the Marion County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
