Man Used Incarcerated Man's Internet Account to View Child Pornography

A Boone County man, 30-year-old Kasey Ray Fields of Harrison, has been charged with two felony counts involving child pornography.

Online court documents indicate Fields entered a not guilty to the charges earlier last month in Boone County Circuit Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, an investigation involving child sexual assault material was initiated in early November by a Harrison Police Department officer. The investigation follows a report generated by the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children involving two recorded images.

During the investigation, law enforcement reportedly determined the name of the individual linked to the internet address allegedly being used by Fields had been recently incarcerated. The individual is being held after being convicted of sexual assault for an alleged rape reported in 2017.

The individual has been incarcerated since August 25, before the last alleged login to the Dropbox account Fields reportedly accessed to view the child sexual asasult material.

Fields has been charged with distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. He is also facing a charge of unauthorized use of another person’s property to facilitate certain crimes.

His bond was set at $25,000.
