A warrant for the arrest of twenty-six-year-old Nicholas Steven Jackson of Western Grove was issued Friday in Ozark County following an incident in the Dora area involving his ex-girlfriend.

Jackson is currently awaiting trial in Marion County for an incident in there from 2020 where he assaulted his ex-girlfriend.

According to the probable cause affidavit from the Ozark County incident, law enforcement met with the victim who told them Jackson was upset with a message on her phone someone had sent her and grabbed her by throat, began to thrash around and pinned her on the bed. She alleges when she tried to escape, Jackson forcibly held her and wouldn’t let her go.

She also told law enforcement Jackson hacked her Facebook account, made a derogatory post and now her profile is linked to his cell phone number.

When Jackson is arrested, he will face felony charges of domestic assault and harassment along with a misdemeanor charge of kidnapping. The warrant states he is to be held without bond.

Jackson was arrested in Oct. of 2020 in Marion County when he forced his way into his then girlfriend’s house, accusing her of infidelity and then assaulting and choking her.

When deputies arrived, he screamed for them to shoot him and then on the way to the Marion County Detention Center, he tried to commit suicide by tying a black shoestring around his neck and fastening it to the cage in the patrol unit.

Jackson’s next court appearance in Marion County is scheduled for April 17.
