Knead More Sweets and Treats Joins Harrison Regional Chamber

New bakery opens in Harrison.

What started as a passion for baking has turned into a business for one local couple. Ashley and Austin White recently opened Knead More Sweets and Treats Bakery and Cafe in Harrison after starting her own company in Missouri a few years ago.

“I did it all the time for fun,” Ashley said of baking. After some encouragement from family and friends, she decided to sell her creations.

The brick and mortar café officially opened in October of 2021. When choosing a name, she was looking for a name that grabbed attention. That is where “Knead More” came from.

As a way to get more involved in the community, the Whites decided to join the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce. The café was packed for their ribbon cutting on Thursday, February 10.

“It was great,” Ashley said of the ribbon cutting. “We haven’t been that packed since we opened. We loved having so many people here checking out the café.”

Knead More Sweets serves breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1409 North Main Street in Harrison. Breakfast is served 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. while lunch is served from 10:30 to 2 p.m.  Then, stop in from 2 to 3 p.m. for a sweet treat! They offer a wide variety of items including homemade bagels, muffins, other bakery treats and lunch items. They also offer custom cakes and other orders for events.
