Judy McCutcheon Talks Construction and More

Judy McCutcheon with the Boone County Regional Airport talked Monday building of airport's first box hangar, careers in aviation and more.

McCutcheon discussed all of this during KHOZ's "Around The Table" broadcast on Monday. She said the airport's construction is close to completion. The hanger door came in on Sunday night. "We're getting closer; we're hoping to have occupancy maybe Feb. 1," McCutcheon said. She expressed that there's more waiting, but progress is happening. She said the tenant for this box hanger is Southern Airways and added that 47 "based aircraft" are on the field. There is a waitlist. McCutcheon also talked about other projects.

Progress is occurring for utilities. She also said that all runway signs are in the replacement process. This will probably happen in March. McCutcheon also discussed possibilities for future hangers.

She said there are hopes to obtain a grant to build another hanger once the current grant is finished with. Later, McCutcheon spoke about aviation careers and more.

The full interview with McCutcheon is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
