Harrison Schools to Remained Masked for Another Week

Mask mandate will be evaluated weekly.

In a social media post from Superintendent Dr. Stewart Pratt, he informed the residents of the Harrison School district of the latest COVID numbers reported by the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement and said the Harrison Schools will keep their mask mandate for students and staff for at least another week.

The full statement from Dr. Pratt read, "I promised that each week we would speak to local medical leaders & review COVID numbers of new known cases in the Harrison School District. Our numbers this week are 293 per 10,000 people. We are witnessing a gradual decline in COVID positive cases and quarantines from the previous two weeks. We are hoping we have reached the apex of Omicron.

Harrison Schools will continue the masking requirement for another week and review again next Thursday and Friday. We will communicate again through Remind and our media outlets.

Respectfully,

Stewart Pratt, Superintendent"
