Harps Opens in Harrison

The wait is over!

On a chilly yet sunny morning, a crowd gathered at Ozark Crossing Mall in Harrison to officially open Harps. After remodeling the former JCPenny store, Harps is officially open for business!

Store administrators cited delays in building materials as to why the project was delayed and expressed excitement in being open to the public.

“We are so excited, it has been a hard project both construction wise and with Covid-19,” J. Max Van Hoose, Executive Vice President of Harps Food Stores Inc., said. “We had a lot of supply chain issues that caused delays. I know everyone in Harrison was patient. We are excited and glad to be done.”

The new store features a drive through pharmacy, fully functional deli and bakery and other interesting finds such as sushi and lobster. The store officially opened after hosting a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, January 26. The store was buzzing with energy.

“It is very gratifying to finally be able to open,” Van Hoose added.

The employee owned and operated store is ready to serve the Harrison community!
