Graddy and Toland Talk Back-to-School Safety and More

Harrison Police Chief Chris Graddy and Lieutenant Michael Toland spoke on Monday about back-to-school safety.

Graddy and Toland appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Monday to talk about that and more. Graddy said one of the main things that comes to mind keeping kids safe amid traffic. Still, Graddy said, some drivers "run school buses when they're stopped."

He said no matter if someone sees a bus in the morning or afternoon, people need to watch for it to stop. Later, Toland talked about school resource officers.

Toland leads the school resource officer program. School resources officers are tasked with keeping students and school employees safe.

In addition to that, Toland said they also work on building bonds with students, parents and school faculty. More was discussed on the broadcast.
