Former Boone County Sheriff Enjoying Retirement, Working with Organization Combating Human Trafficking

The former Sheriff of Boone Count is keeping busy after his retirement.

Mike Moore stopped by KHOZ's "Around the Table" program and talked about his time since returning to the area after his time in Little Rock working for then Governor Asa Hutchinson as a regulatory administrator for the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration over seeing several enforcement departments.

Prior to that Moore spent six years as Boone County Sheriff and prior to that as Boone County Judge. After leaving State Government in 2022, Moore did briefly consider to run for another term as Sheriff but withdrew from the race shortly after entering and is continuing to work with a group bringing awareness and combating Human Trafficking. 

Moore said the group he works with have facilitated 30 rescues of victims, mostly children, from trafficking which has resulted in 20 arrests.
