Community Classes are Back at North Arkansas College

Community classes are back at North Arkansas College.

Micki Sumers and Genie Allen from the college appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss the classes and more. Allen handles the classes. She said there are about 30 classes from March through April. The classes cover a wide range of subjects.

That includes ceramics, dance, painting, medicare, Microsoft computer programs and more. The classes are largely for adults, but classes with kids in mind are available.

Kids can enjoy classes in the summer. Allen said a gardening class and a memorial flowers class are also available.

She also talked about how the college is expanding the reach of its classes. The popular conversational Spanish class has expanded to Berryville. That class is available at the Carroll County Center.

Printmaking is also available there. Many of the community classes are available for free, and some of them require payment.

Later, Sumers discussed a poetry event set for March 5 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. as well as the upcoming eclipse events. More information about the classes is online. More was discussed on the broadcast.

The full interview with Allen and Sumers is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
