Camp Jack to Help Local Business

Camp Jack will partner with a local business to help them raise money on April 16 at the Quality Inn Convention Center, according to Callie Mondy.

Callie Mondy from Camp Jack appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Monday to talk about the fundraiser and more. Camp Jack will host a bingo night that evening to assist in raising money for Mrs. Christy's PowerHouse Athletics; part of the money will go to them while the other part will go to Camp Jack's construction project and more. The event will likely need an extra room at the Quality Inn Convention Center.

Prior to the upcoming bingo night, Camp Jack joined forces with the same business to help make their goal possible. They had a fundraiser over the weekend.

It happened at Walmart. Mondy said that it raised more than $2,000 during the weekend.

Mondy thanked Walmart and all the donors as well as the volunteers from Mrs. Christy's PowerHouse Athletics. She commented on a major difference between this fundraiser and previous ones.

"It's amazing. In just a few short years, we've gone from nobody has any clue who we are to everybody and their brother's like 'Oh, yeah, I love Camp Jack,'" Mondy said.  She talked about the motivation to partner with Mrs. Christy's PowerHouse Athletics.

The cheer, dance and tumbling business contacted Camp Jack and expressed that raising money hasn't proved easy. The athletes involved were qualified to participate on a good but expensive trip.

The solution: Camp Jack partnered with the business for one day during the weekend fundraiser and split the money. More was discussed during the broadcast.

The full interview with Callie Mondy is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
