Boutique Crawl Returns

Frenzy of Harrison Boutique Crawl event is back.

Emily Powers appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Tuesday to talk about the event. Local businesses are participating in the April 13 activity; the 12 businesses are involved to accomplish the goal behind the Saturday event.

Powers explained that the goal is to show shoppers that it's possible to shop locally and find wants and needs. Businesses besides downtown ones will participate.

She said it includes pretty much all of Harrison. Every business is female-owned and is a boutique or something geared toward women. Participating shoppers will use a passport-type document that someone at each store will mark.

At the end of the shopping time, shoppers need to initial the document and write the phone number on the back before leaving it at the last store visited. Each business visited equals an extra entry into a drawing.

The local boutique hosted it a few years ago, but plans to do it again came to a halt during the pandemic. Matt Bell of Explore Harrison is playing a part in the event too.

Powers said that Bell is doing a giveaway. Anyone who takes pictures of the seven murals in the route for the event and tags Explore Harrison may win a prize. More was discussed during the broadcast.

The full interview with Powers is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
