A report of several malnourished dogs in Boone County has resulted in the arrest of the property owner.
Amy Goff is facing eight counts of animal cruelty and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
Boone County Chief Deputy Roy Martin says the dogs were reported on Harmon Road. Deputies responded and located eight to 10 malnourished dogs in small kennels in the residence. Authorities also reportedly discovered poor living conditions in the residence, and Deputy Martin says the health and hygiene of three children living at the residence was concerning.
Eight dogs were seized, transported to a local veterinarian for checkups and treatment and turned over to Ozark Homeward Bond Animal Rescue. The Arkansas Department of Human Services was also contacted, and the children were turned over to their grandmother.
