Boone County Regional Airport Waiting on new Hangar

The Boone County Regional Airport is waiting on a new hangar to arrive, according to the airport manager Judy McCutcheon.

McCutcheon appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to talk about the hangar and more. While the airport has enjoyed a new hangar for close to a year, there's anticipation for another one. She credited North Arkansas College's Program Manager and Construction Equipment Operations Instructor Chad Hathaway and a team for working on the project.

The airport manager said that grant money enabled the airport to have "site work" done for the road and for the hangar's parking lot. That saves the airport money. She revealed when the project is expected to wrap up.

McCutcheon said the airport anticipates having the hangar on Feb. 21 before they can begin work. Later, she mentioned hopes to construct more hangars.

The hope is that that will occur when the current grant monies close out. McCutcheon said the airport survives on grant money. More was discussed on the broadcast.

The full interview with McCutcheon is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
