Authorities have arrested 31-year-old Michael Frederick Pupillo of Boone County after he allegedly took his clothes off and began attacking a homeowner.

According to the probable cause affidavit, authorities dispatched to a residence along Rally Hill Road to a report of Pupillo, who lives in a camper on the victim’s property, breaking into the victim’s house.

Dispatch advised the homeowner left the residence to get away from Pupillo and began walking down the road. Authorities made contact with the victim who stated he had woken up to Pupillo in his bedroom. He advised Pupillo took his clothes off and allegedly began attacking him and breaking things.

The victim stated he tried calming down Pupillo and even tried using an extension cord to restrain him, but it failed. He then stated he started stacking furniture on top of Pupillo which then allowed for an opportunity to escape and dial 911. The victim then advised he knew Pupillo was still inside the house and could hear glass breaking as he was leaving.

Deputies arrived at the residence and while approaching the front of the house, Pupillo came around the corner and began shouting expletives. As he was shouting expletives, he allegedly charged straight towards the deputies. Authorities deployed a taser as Pupillo charged, and it was effective.

As Pupillo’s body locked up from the taser, he allegedly slammed into a deputy and then the ground.

Pupillo was transported to the Boone County Jail and charged with felony counts of aggravated residential burglary and breaking or entering, and misdemeanor counts of third degree battery, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

A no contact order has been put in place for the victim who advised Pupillo only stayed at the residence on and off for three weeks and often travels back to Missouri.

Bond was set at $50,000.
