Boone County Man Arrested in Domestic Incident

An arrest has been made in a Domestic Assault Case.

The details from KTLO:

A Boone County man has been arrested following a domestic assault incident in which he reportedly struggled with a female, choked her and threw a television that landed less than 2 feet from an infant. The television was reportedly among other objects thrown toward the female with law enforcement present.

The infant was reportedly one of four children present in the residence during the altercation.

According to the probable cause affidavit, 29-year-old Randall P. Morrison of Harrison is charged with
– aggravated assault on a family or household member, a Class D felony;
– endangering the welfare of a minor, first degree, a Class D felony;
– domestic battery, third degree, a Class D felony; and
– endangering the welfare of a minor, second degree (three counts), a Class A misdemeanor.

Prior to law enforcement’s arrival on Jan. 31 about 5:44 p.m., the female victim reportedly asked Morrison to leave the residence because he had been drinking. A struggle ensued, during which the woman threw her cellphone towards an 8-year-old child in an effort for him to call 911.

Morrison allegedly attempted to take the phone, with the woman grabbing him to keep him from the child. At that point, Morrison allegedly choked the woman.

When law enforcement arrived, an officer reported observing Morrison throwing objects, including the television, toward the woman. As he placed the Boone County man in restraints, he noticed the infant in a rocker who was nearly hit by the television.

After restraining Morrison, three boys, ages 3, 7 and 8, emerged from a closet where they had been hiding. The 8-year-old was holding a Nerf gun and reportedly told officers he would have shot Morrison if he hurt them.

Morrison reportedly consented to a preliminary breath test with a result of .19%. A driver’s blood alcohol content in Arkansas of 0.08% or higher is considered intoxicated.

Morrison has a previous third-degree domestic battery charge within five years of his recent arrest. His bond was set at $10,000.
